Four Centurion house robbers arrested, ammo seized

During the arrest, police recovered and seized two rifles, 9mm and 105 rounds of live ammunition.

Four Olievenhoutbosch house robbers have been arrested by the Tshwane West police in Diepsloot.

Erasmia police spokesperson Constable Tumisang Moloto said a team of detectives was conducting an intelligence-driven operation and unlicensed firearms and ammunition were recovered from the four robbers.

“The group was allegedly involved in a house robbery which occurred on Saturday at Knoppislaagte, Olievenhoutbosch. The police made separate arrests in Diepsloot ext 4, 8 and 22.

“During the arrests, we found and seized two rifles, a 9mm pistol and 105 rounds of live ammunition,” he said.

Moloto said the robbers aged between 28 and 36 were expected to appear at the Atteridgeville magistrate’s court soon.

“More charges could be added and we can’t rule out more arrests.”

Moloto said the Tshwane West cluster trio task team comprised of experienced detectives and was established to deal with serious and violent crimes.
