Alleged Pta ‘fraudster’ wanted for R38-million
The man allegedly targets black-owned companies with the promise of getting them business in the mining sector.
Police are searching for a 62-year-old Pretoria man on multiple counts of fraud.
The investigating officer from the commercial crimes unit captain Julius Masengi said Jacobus Boshoff was wanted for fraud to the tune of R38-million.
“The suspect lures his victims into believing that he owns a mine and wants to give them shares in his company in order to obtain a BEE status.”
Masengi said the suspect would then demand the victim’s company details including financial records, defraud them and then disappear.

Five of the 11 charges were laid in Pretoria and two of his alleged offences were committed in Sinoville, two in Brooklyn and one in Pretoria central.
Boshoff is believed to be hiding in the Northen Cape, but his home is in Akasia.
