Councillor vows to set Olievenhoutbosch affairs straight
“The community needs our best efforts despite the current political instability.”
A Tshwane metro councillor has vowed to bring order to Olievenhoutbosch after allegations of corruption.
Anru Meyer told Rekord that two councillors had been accused of selling RDP houses and he “will not rest until the community receives the services it deserves from the government”.
Meyer had been deployed by the metro to help the residents of wards 77 and 106 from Monday as a proportional representative councillor.

“The community needs our best efforts despite the current political instability in their areas,” said Meyer adding that the housing problems needed urgent attention and intervention.
“Unfortunately the project in which the RDP houses are being sold is led by the province and the Tshwane metro only facilitates rightful occupation.”
The DA councillor said the metro needed to investigate the irregularities and was due to meet the local residents on Wednesday afternoon to listen to their plight and discuss the way forward.
