Six people were arrested for public violence in the Pretoria CBD on Friday afternoon.
Pretoria Central police spokesperson Captain Augustinah Selepe said the group were throwing garbage bins in the streets during the South African Municipal Workers Union (SAMWU) march.

“The members (of SAMWU) flooded some of the streets of Pretoria CBD to march to Tshwane House to deliver a memorandum of demands,” she said.
“During the march, some of the people were seen throwing garbage bins in the streets and that led to obstruction of services in the CBD.”
