NEWSFLASH: Teen shot outside his Cullinan home

The motive of the shooting is unclear, police said.

A 19-year-old boy was shot and wounded in Cullinan on Monday evening.

Police spokesperson Captain Kay Makhubela said the motive for the shooting was unknown.

“The boy was outside his home when several shots were fired in his direction and, unfortunately, one bullet struck him in the upper body,” he said.

“We are not sure who the attackers were but a case of attempted murder has been opened for further investigation.”

Makhubela said the teen was wounded and transported to hospital.

“Nothing was stolen and no arrests have been made.”
