The Gauteng department of education has yet to say if it was taking further steps to close down an “illegal” school in Raslouw, Centurion.
Earlier this month the department called the media to the Centauri Dual Medium Private High School in Baard Street with the intention of shutting it down.
Departmental spokesperson Steve Mabona confirmed the department had labelled the school “illegal” for various reasons and was revoking its accreditation for its noncompliance with curriculum standards, among other.
Mabona told the media that if the principal, Susan Bochard, did not comply with an order to close the school down the department would have no choice but take legal action against her.
However, Mabona and the department had yet to respond to requests for comment this week on whether or not these steps would now be taken.

A defiant Borchard had earlier said the complaints against the school were never properly investigated.
She said parents were never asked to submit statements to substantiate their allegations against the school.
It was now unclear what consequences Borchard would face if she failed to close the school.
Rekord has been inundated with calls from parents and learners of the school who were concerned about what would happen next.
These concerns included whether the learners who had written their matric exams through the school would receive their certificates or not.
The questions had all been put to Mabona who had yet to respond.
