Three men were arrested following a house robbery in Clubview, Centurion on Friday.
The robbery happened around 10:30, according to Wierdabrug police spokesperson Captain Agnes Huma.
“The victim was in the house when she heard a sound coming from her parents’ room. Since she was home alone, she went to check what was happening and encountered two unknown men putting jewellery inside a pillowcase,” she said.
Huma said one of the suspects pushed the victim onto the bed and asked for the safe keys.
“Before she could respond, the two suspects left her and made an escape. The victim saw the third suspect running towards the gate through the window and called for help.”
With the help of security companies, the police and the community, three suspects were cornered and arrested, Huma added.
They were detained at the Wierdabrug SAPS station and are expected to appear before the Pretoria Magistrates’ Court shortly.
