UPDATE: No arrest in Vastfontein smallholding murder case
Frans Booysen (74) was shot in the head and killed, while his sister survived three shots to the stomach.
No one has yet been arrested for the murder of an elderly man on a smallholding in Vastfontein north of Pretoria.
Last month, 74-year-old Frans Booysen was shot in the head by two robbers who surprised him outside the home he shared with his sister and wife.
Sister, Karin (59), was also wounded in the attack.
She was shot three times in the stomach.

Tarien Cooks of AfriForum said Karin had amazingly survived the attack and was recovering well.
“Luckily the bullets had missed all of her vital organs,” Cooks said.
The robbers had apparently shot Frans first who had noticed that the front gate was open.
The two attackers neutralised the smallholding’s electric fence and forced their way through the gate by lifting it off its track, according to AfriForum national operational co-ordinator Marius Müller.
Frans’ wife Sina (71) hid in a bathroom inside the house where she called for help on a community radio.
Müller said members of AfriForum and other community safety groups were quick to respond on scene.
He said the safety forums helped to follow the suspects’ trail for about 4km on the gravel road to where it ended at the tar road.
Police spokesperson Captain Kay Makhubele said a case of murder, attempted murder and house robbery was being investigated.
