Two suspected hijackers were arrested in Atteridgeville on Tuesday evening.
The arrest was made thanks to a quick reaction from the Tshwane police task trio.

“It is alleged that the suspects hijacked a vehicle in Pretoria West last month and a week later, they committed a house robbery in the same area,” said police spokesperson Captain Augustinah Selepe.
“On Tuesday, the duo were found in possession of a stolen motor vehicle that was reported last week stolen in Atteridgeville.”
Selepe said the arrests came after the suspects were traced.
Tshwane West Cluster Commander Major General Thomas Mthombeni commended the team for its efforts in the fight against crime.
The team would continue perusing its quest to disrupt criminal activities in an effort to get rid of crime within Tshwane West Cluster, Selepe said.

The two suspects aged 27 and 34 years are expected to appear in the Atteridgeville Magistrate’s Court soon.
