A video of a grab-and-run thief in the east of Pretoria recently went viral.
In the video, reportedly taken in Lynwood, a man is seen standing on the sidewalk outside a store.

He stands with his back towards the customers in the shop.
Suddenly he turns around quickly, runs in and grabs something from a table.

Before any customers could react, the man has already fled from the scene.
The video was shared by a Twitter account, Reza.

The account warned residents to be vigilant and safe.
“Keep an eye out on your surroundings for suspicious people and behaviour,” said Reza.
