Official opening of Mams Mall

Mams Mall is one of the biggest malls in Tshwane.

Thousands of Mamelodi residents descended to Mams Mall to witness the opening of the new mall.

The shopping mall officially opened for business on Wednesday with more than 120 shops, including a world-class gym.

New Africa Development CEO, Japie van Niekerk, said today is an iconic day for Mamelodi residents.
“We identified this place many years ago, and bought the Mahube Mall and the [real estate] surrounding the mall.

Mams Mall brings roughly 75 000 square metres of world-class shopping and entertainment to Mamelodi residents.”

Edna Nsingo together with Lindiwe and Busisiwe Gabadela said they have toured around the mall and they found almost all the stores you can think of in South Africa at Mams Mall.
Leeto Tjego, Pamela Mpisane and Tshegofatso Komane said though they did not buy anything on the opening day pof the luxury mall. However, as the residents of Mamelodi they will finally get job opportunities at last.
Enos Masomo and Sipho Ngeno said they will no longer worry about transport money when going to do shopping for their families. The mall is around the corner and they can come at any time of the day.

Van Niekerk described the mall as one of the biggest malls, not only in Tshwane but in the country.

“Our focus is family entertainment with Nu-Metro, Fun Company, Spur, Planet Fitness, Ratanga Fashion Junction and other stores.

“The mall is unique with an abundance of parking space.”

Mams Malls is situated in the east of Mamelodi, which is home to more than 700 000 people and one of the fast-growing middle-class suburbs in South Africa.

Sphiwe Nkosi and her daughter Keabetse said she was happy to have world class mall in Mamelodi and is not far from his home.
