Some areas in Pretoria were affected by power and water outages this weekend.
In Mabopane, some residents were hit by water interruptions due to a pipe that burst on Friday.
Tshwane metro spokesperson Lindela Mashigo said, however, repairs had already been completed by 21:00 on Friday.

“The pipe burst occurred on the pipeline inlet of the reservoir and as a result the reservoir levels were low.
“Once the reservoir is low, it will need more hours to recover before it will reach the required level,” he said.
He said the water supply was expected to be fully restored in the affected areas at around 17:00 on Saturday.

Mashigo said municipal teams were attending to the issue and the power should be restored within the next hour.

Residents could expect the power restored within the next two hours.
He thanked all residents for their patience and said that the metro was doing its best to repair the damaged infrastructure.
