Robinson said she planned to study BSc medical sciences through the University of Pretoria as it was her passion and she hoped to find cures to multiple diseases.

“Especially cancer as it is what my mom passed away from and I would like for fewer children to suffer through what I had to,” said Robinson.

Robinson’s hobbies are cooking and baking for her family which she said she found to be therapeutic and she is also a bookworm who reads anything from fantasy to fiction.

Wyston Rooy scooped six distinctions – Afrikaans first additional language, mathematics, life orientation, geography, physical sciences and tourism.

He plans to study mechanical engineering at the University of Pretoria and hopes to bring significant improvement to the engineering landscape in the country and hopefully open his own firm in the future.

Rooy’s hobbies include cycling and photography, which he used to deal with the stress of matric.

He said he also indulged in books about different cultures, empires and mythology.

“This love for reading created a new love and that was for general knowledge quizzes, so I’ve participated in a lot of these quizzes and I love to have fun with the family in 30 Seconds,” said Rooy.
