The residents of Hammanskraal and surrounding areas have been warned of water supply interruption due to take place on Tuesday.
The interruption will start from 8:00 on Tuesday until Wednesday, 13 February 2019 at 8:00, said Tshwane metro spokesperson Lindela Mashigo.
“Roaming water tankers will be arranged to supply residents in the affected areas with water. The city of Tshwane apologises for any inconvenience that might arise as a result of this shutdown and upkeep,” he said.
During this period, the city will shut down the Temba water purification plant in order to allow the contractor to undertake the following:
– Tying of the pipeline to reservoir 4
– Replacing the reducer
– Repairing internal joints and testing the raw water pipeline
The following areas were due to be affected:
- Dilopye
- New Eersterus
- Temba
- Babelegi Industries
- Marokolong
- Ramotse
- Majaneng
- Mandela Village
- Sekampaneng
- Hammanskraal
