Water supply interruptions in various parts of Garsfontein can be expected this week as the replacement of underground pipes continues in the area.
On Wednesday, St Bernard Drive, Beagle, Lassie, Airdale, Whippit, Bokser and Pronkrug streets will all be affected as workmen replace pipes between 13:00 and 14:00.
The project started back in February 2018 and continues successfully with the contractors promising the work should be finished by end of February 2019.

“We have been told cleaning and restoring of people’s driveways may take a while longer, and the city will only be able to finish those in March,” said local resident Nicolette Prinsloo.
“However, all households in the area will have clean, running water without interruptions with new pipes by end of February.”
The city will begin the restoration of the 117 affected driveways as soon as all pipes have been replaced.
