Police have arrested a suspect in connection with the murder of a taxi driver, who was shot dead at Fountains circle last weekend.
Pretoria Central police spokesperson Captain Augustinah Selepe confirmed one of the suspects allegedly linked to the shooting was arrested on Wednesday.
“The suspect appeared briefly before the Pretoria magistrate’s court on Thursday where the case was postponed to next week,” she said.
“The suspect will remain behind bars until his bail application.”
Selepe said police were still looking for more suspects.
On Saturday, the 35-year-old taxi driver was gunned down by an unknown assailant.
Selepe said police and medics found the driver in a pool of blood.
Two firearms and ammunition were recovered inside the taxi.
