Cluster leader Major-General Daniel Mthombeni commended his “dedicated men and women in blue, as well as the other partners in the operation for upholding the rule of law and fighting the criminals that seek to disturb the peace and harmony in the area”.

He urged community structures such as CPFs, liquor traders, crime prevention youth desks, to continue working closely with the police in ensuring that the communities were safe.

“We discourage any forms of vigilantism and mob justice and urge that all crimes be reported to the police so all perpetrators can be brought to book,” he said.

“Tshwane West police and its stakeholders will continue to ensure police visibility in their cluster.”
