VIDEO: East author (19) to launch second book
The 19-year-old published his first and best seller book Young Black and Powerful, at 15.
A young Mamelodi author Howard Zondo will soon drop his second book.
The 19-year-old told Rekord the book Its Lessons from a Domestic Worker was about a parent who raised a powerful black child.
The Mamelodi East SNS resident launched his first book Young Black and Powerful, about being motivated and staying inspired, at 15.
Zondo describes himself as an edu-training speaker, talent-entrepreneur and black consciousness advocate.
Young Black and Powerful sold 750 copies to achieve the status of best-selling self-published book, but that was not even the best achievement for the young author.

Zondo claims he is the reigning 2019 SA Ideas Festival entrepreneur and leadership winner, and Rich Learning Mentorship Programme for Boys honoured him with the 2019 Nelson Mandela Leadership Award.
The part-time radio presenter is also a motivational speaker, leadership trainer and facilitator, and former president and co-ordinator of The CEO Speaks, a non-profit organisation that creates a platform for mentoring, coaching, training, and grooming young leaders to become magnificent speakers.

Zondo says he was the first J Kekana Secondary School learner in Mamelodi West to sign up for public speaking at the school.
He says he has dedicated his life to inspiring and motivating the youth in his community to live a purpose-driven life through talks, speeches and books.
“I have found my niche using my gift as speaker and motivator.”
