Police have discovered a multi-million rand drug laboratory on a plot near Hammanskraal.
Drugs and equipment worth over a million rand were seized, according to a statement.
Members of Tshwane K9 made the breakthrough when they followed up on information about a lab manufacturing drugs on a plot in Hammanskraal, north of Tshwane.
“Police arrived at the house at around 11:00 and found two men and a woman who were busy manufacturing drugs. The suspects were aged 38, 50 and 52.
“Police also recovered three unlicensed firearms and ammunition, two pistols and a shotgun,” police said.
Bags of chemical powder and bottles used for the manufacturing of drugs were also seized from the house. In addition, it is suspected that the suspects were also dealing in drugs.
The three suspects will face charges of manufacturing of drugs and possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition. They are expected to appear in court soon.
