NEWSFLASH: Man critical after Olievenhoutbosch robbery

"The man was treated for his injuries and provided with advanced life support interventions."

A 26-year-old man was critically injured on Tuesday morning after he was shot during an armed robbery in Olievenhoutbosch.

ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring said in a statement the incident happened around 09:55.

“Paramedics found the man lying on the pavement surrounded by numerous bystanders,” he said.

“Local authorities were in attendance cordoning off the area.”

Meiring said paramedics assessed the man and found he was wounded in his arm and leg.

“The man was treated for his injuries and provided with advanced life support interventions,” he said.

Once treated, the man was transported to Kalafong Hospital.

Meiring said the details surrounding this incident are not yet known, but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
