Nine-year-old Centurion model and actress to compete internationally
This nine-year-old is not wasting any time in making a name for herself on an international level.

A hardworking, gifted and beautiful young girl from Midstream will be fulfilling her dreams of modelling one day and acting on an international stage by taking part in the Artist Rising Talent Showcase (Arts) competition at Disney World.
Alexis White is a nine-year-old girl who enjoys the glamour and excitement that performing on a stage brings, but she also loves athletics, soccer and netball at Midstream College Primary School.
She is a working model and actress and hopes to be noticed by companies like Disney and Nickelodeon.

“Her auditions will be for modelling, TV commercials as well as acting in film and theatre,” says her proud mother Candice White.
“She completed a regional audition and a national showcase judged by international judges, Kim Meyers, Nate Butler, Blaze Johnson and Rhavynn Drummer last year to qualify for ARTS International 2019.”
Alexis will be a busy girl when she travels to the United States with her mother in a few months’ time. Not only will she be performing to get a break in one of the world’s biggest show business platforms, but she will also be auditioning for a New York Film Academy scholarship, doing workshops at the New York Film Academy and taking part in a very important photoshoot at Times Square.
Back home, she seems to be making waves as well.
“Alexis was featured in a few local print and web catalogues. She has done runway shows and international TV commercials. She is currently competing in her modelling agency’s competition to be the next face of the agency. The winner will receive an international modelling contract in New York City,” says Candice.
Alexis has always been a performer at heart, and her mother realised her love of the arts when Alexis was only 4-years-old.

“She asked to do modelling when she was just four. At first, I said no, but she was very persistent. After that, she did one shoot for Gelique boutique and then I put it off for a long time. She started asking again in early 2018. We did a portfolio shoot in June and she was signed with Just You Model and Artist Management by July. It has really taken off since there,” says White proudly.
“At home, Lexi rules the roost but in public or out of her comfort zone she’s always been a bit shy and introvert so it came as a bit of a surprise that she could be so comfortable in front of the camera or walking the runway.”
At school, Alexis’s favourite subjects are science, art and technology.
“She’s always up for any sports, and enjoys collecting anything that has to do with unicorns,” White said.
