A 45-year-old man was arrested in connection with the alleged rape of his girlfriend in Rooihuiskraal, near Centurion.
“It is alleged that the suspect raped and pointed a firearm at his girlfriend,” said Tshwane police flying squad Constable Buhle Rahatji.

Neighbours also complained to police that the man discharged his firearm recklessly.
“The community also complained that he always discharged his firearm in the middle of the night for no reason,” Rahatji said.

She added police seized a 9mm pistol, with live ammunition, a gas pistol along with pinball gun.
“He faces charges of rape, intimidation, pointing of a firearm and discharging a firearm in a built-up area,” Rahatji said.
