Nine people were arrested in connection with drug and stolen property possession during police flying squad’s operations at the weekend.
“Officers arrested nine people who were in possession of Cat and nyaope,” spokesperson Constable Buhle Rahatji said.
Four of those arrested were nabbed in Soshanguve and the other four in Eersterust.
“The drugs recovered amounted to a street value of R3 000,” she said.
The ninth suspect was for the possession of a silver grey Toyota Hilux in Hercules, west of Pretoria.
“The vehicle was reported hijacked at the Pretoria West police station earlier this month.”
Rahatji said the suspects, aged between 23 and 38, would appear in court soon on charges of possession of drugs and a hijacked motor vehicle.
“Members of the public are urged to work together with the police to prevent crime and put all who commit them behind bars,” she added.
