Police are still searching for a woman accused of making a racist remark at a Clicks store east of Pretoria last year.
A video had circulated on social media in September in which a black customer confronts a white customer she alleged had called her a monkey.
The woman has since opened a case of crimen injuria at the Silverton police station and the police have struggled to locate the alleged perpetrator.

Police spokesperson Captain Jan Sepato said the alleged perpetrator’s version of events was important to the case and hence police were appealing to her to come forward to give a statement.
“We still have not been able to locate her,” he said adding they knew who she was though.
“We are appealing to anyone who may have information on her whereabouts to please contact the Silverton police station.
The video caused a stir on social media with some people speculating that the white woman had apparently asked for a ‘mandjie’ (basket), but was misheard by the other customer.
“Who is a monkey?” the black customer can be heard exclaiming on the video with staff scrambling to prevent a physical altercation between the two.
