Pretoria west residents have been warned of possible water interruptions this week.
According to Tshwane metro spokesperson Lindela Mashigo the water interruptions are expected to hit residents on Tuesday, Thursday and Monday next week.
“The interruptions follow a notification from Rand Water about a need to do maintenance work on the utility’s reservoirs,” he said.
Lotus Gardens, Atteridgeville and Laudium will be affected.
“Lotus Gardens will be affected on Tuesday, Atteridgeville on Thursday and Laudium on Monday next week,” he said.
“The reservoir that will be worked on supplies water to these three suburbs.”
Mashigo urged residents to use water sparingly.
“In order to ensure provision of water supply to the mentioned areas, all reservoirs will be filled to capacity prior to the shutdown,” he said.
“We appeal to all residents to utilise water sparingly during this time.”
He apologised on behalf of the metro for any inconvenience caused to residents.
