Maragon Olympus congratulates their future Sensei

Nicola’s aim is to obtain her black belt in karate, but at this stage, she is very proud and grateful to represent South Africa in Germany next year.

Nicola Odendaal is not only an exceptional athlete but her karate skills also promise her a bright future. She started with karate in April 2016, at the young age of 8 years. The sport always fascinated her, because of the physical challenge and because it teaches good values. She is taught by Sensei Soon Pretorius, who is the youngest Dan, but 8th in the world.

Nicola’s aim is to obtain her black belt in karate, but at this stage, she is very proud and grateful to represent South Africa in Germany next year. She has been selected to the JSKA World Karate Team and will represent South Africa at the following 5 international events:

• 24th JSKA International Development Championship in August 2019

• JSKA Best Karate Open Challenge in August 2019

• 9th WUKF World Karate Championships in July 2020 in London, UK

• 25th JSKA International Development Championship in August 2020 in Namibia

• 10th JSKA World Karate Championships in November 2020 in Lübeck, Germany
