Fire breaks out at SAAF museum

The fire broke out in a hangar at the museum near the old Johannesburg road in Centurion around 06:00.

A fire broke out at the SA Air Force museum near the Old Johannesburg Road in Centurion around 06:00 on Saturday.

 

Speaking to Rekord, Tshwane emergency services spokesperson Charles Mabaso said the fire was a result of furniture stored in a hangar at the museum catching fire.

 

He said the fire had since been put out by the staff at the museum and the metro firefighters had also arrived on the scene.
