NEWSFLASH: One injured in east bakkie-truck crash
The bakkie caught fire in the collision.
A person was injured when a bakkie collided with a truck and caught fire on the N4 west on Friday afternoon.
“One person was transported to hospital with minor to moderate injuries,” Tshwane emergency services spokesperson Charles Mabaso said.
The accident happened after the Watermeyer off-ramp, but before the N1 South interchange.
“Three lanes were closed off to traffic,” he said.

Mabaso added that the fire was extinguished within 15 minutes.
It was unclear whether or not the affected lanes were open to traffic at the time of going to press.
