Get ready for Pretoria’s original Oktoberfest

The annual Oktoberfest in Pretoria is around the corner, get all the details here.

The 43rd annual Oktoberfest is scheduled to take place at the German International School on 13 and 14 September, and it promises to be one for the books.

Pretorians can expect live music on the main stage by Die Ottertaler Oompah band, who have a 20-year track record of not only playing to audiences in their homeland of central Hessen in Germany but also entertaining partygoers in America, Africa and Europe.

“Spontaneity, the joy of making music and many years of experience in the entertainment and music industry make us a ‘Stimmungsgarant’ where we always aim to keep the worries of everyday life and stress away with music and a good mood,” says bandleader, Dirk Lindemann, who is looking forward to being back on the Oktoberfest stage after having played the festival in 2015.

Their wide-ranging stage programme of traditional Oompah music also includes well-known pop melodies, party hits and some of Lindemann’s own compositions.
