Pretoria east power to be restored on Thursday
Residents will be relieved to hear that the problem will soon be resolved.
Residents in the east of Pretoria can be assured that the power will be restored in areas like Lydiana, Brummeria, La Montagne, Murrayfield and Meyerspark by 10:00 on Thursday morning.
This was confirmed by DA ward councillor Pieter van Heerden.
“System operators were hard at work yesterday at The Willows substation to fix the problem, they have repaired the cables and have confirmed that when they re-energise the system this morning, that the power will be on again by 10:00,” he told Rekord.
The same areas seem to still be struggling with water supply after a burst water pipe in Ratel Avenue affected the area late on Wednesday afternoon.
“I will escalate the matter on the water interruption again, as it should have been fixed by now,” he said.

Residents in the area are urged to use water sparingly and switch off all electrical appliances during the power outage to prevent surge complications when the power comes back on.
Customers should report outages to customer care centres on 012-358-8999 or SMS the word “power” to 44676.
