Another power outage in the east

There was no estimated time for when power would be restored in Lydiana.

Another power outage has hit the east of Pretoria, this after the previous outage had only been resolved.

The power went out on Friday afternoon.

“I have informed the relevant people of the problem and that there were electrical cables hanging on the floor [loose],” said local ward councillor, Pieter van Heerden.

The power outage affected Lydiana and surrounds.

Van Heerden said technicians were not on the scene yet and it was still unclear what exactly caused the outage.

There was no estimated time of restoration.

Only two days prior, on Wednesday, the area experienced a power outage due to a problem in The Willows substation.

Power was only resolved on Thursday.
