Getting involved with your local CPF
The CPF is established in partnership between police and the communities they serve.
Lyttelton police have urged residents to become involved with their local CPFs.
Police spokesperson Captain Dave Miller said a local CPF was a direct link between the community and the police.
Miller said the CPF could help make the public aware of certain crime tendencies in their area.
“You might not be aware of these crimes until the CPF warns you.”
Miller said residents could also inform their local CPF if there were any suspicious activities in the area.
