UPDATE: West boy recovering at home after fire
Logan Barnard (5) a grade RR learner at Laerskool Saamspan, was discharged from hospital on Sunday.

Little Logan Barnard (5) has been discharged from hospital where he was treated for serious burn wounds and is recovering at home.
Logan, a Grade RR learner at Laerskool Saamspan, spent almost a month in hospital after he was burnt at a braai.
He was discharged on Sunday and is recovering at home in Mountain View, said his mother Chanie.
“It is a miracle,” she said.
When the news broke that Logan was being discharged, messages of hope streamed in on social media.
One message was from Ricky Louw, representing the Hercules CPF, who shared in the family’s happiness.
“Miracles are still real, especially when a community stands together and prays together,” she said.
“Good luck to Logan for your journey forward. We, like your friends, teachers and family, are glad that you are at home now.
“You are a star and our pride.”
Laerskool Saamspan posted a separate entry on their Facebook page on Monday.
“Logan was discharged from the hospital yesterday [Sunday]. One realises again the power of prayer and that miracles still happen today,” it read.
“Dear Logan, you must get well soon at home so that you can return to school quickly. Juffrou Ansa and all your friends miss you terribly.”
Logan was taken off a ventilator two weeks ago and started breathing on his own.
His left lung, that collapsed shortly after the accident, has also recovered.
Chanie previously said the accident happened at their house in Mountain View while they were preparing for their usual Saturday braai.
Logan’s parents immediately rushed him to the swimming pool in a desperate attempt to put out the fire.
Then they rushed him to the Eugene Marais hospital.
Logan was stabilised in the hospital before he was taken via helicopter to the Garden City hospital in Johannesburg.
He suffered serious burn wounds to his face as well as a big part of his right arm and hand. There were also burn marks on his other arm and leg.
Two fundraisers were launched for Logan because of the uncertainty of his recovery process.
More than R100 000 was raised.
