A Lesotho pastor was shot dead during a robbery at a guest house in Silverlakes in the early hours of Friday morning.
The 46-year-old man and his wife were sleeping in their room when a group of men forced the door open, according to Boschkop police spokesperson constable Yeroboam Mbatsane.
“The pair were awakened by the presence of the group in the room who fired several shots at them, hitting the pastor,” said Mbatsane.
“The woman was not shot.”
He said the robbers demanded cash from the woman before taking her handbag and cellphones.
