UPDATE: Centurion beautician laid to rest

Family members and friends speaking at the service shared loving memories of her, describing her as “a go-getter” who “never backed down.”

A Centurion beautician was described as a loving mother and who was filled with hope.

Loudene Richards (24) was laid to rest after an intimate memorial service at the Sorex Estate Chapel on Friday afternoon.

Loudene died in a car accident on the N1 highway in Centurion on Saturday morning.

Family members and friends speaking at the service shared loving memories of her, describing her as “a go-getter” who “never backed down.”

Loudene had launched a project to provide nail and beauty classes at her place of work the day before her accident.

Her excitement at the prospect of the new project was also highlighted.

Loudene’s vehicle reportedly overturned on the N1 highway  just before the John Vorster Drive off-ramp at around 02:30 on Saturday.

The cause of the accident was unclear.

Her mother, Dina, previously told Rekord Loudene would always be remembered for living her life to the fullest.

“Maybe she was taken from us too early and maybe not,” she said.

“I believe the Almighty is in control and we find peace in knowing that.”

Richards is survived by her seven-year-old son, her three-year-old daughter, her mother, father, two brothers and two sisters.
