The Sinoville community policing forum walked away with the CPF of the year award at the annual excellence awards.

Chairman of the Sinoville CPF Charles Kemp received the award during the SAPS Gauteng gala event at Emperors Palace at the weekend.

“This annual award is in recognition of the hard work, long hours and dedication of members of the Sinoville CPF to assist the Sinoville SAPS in combating crime through a collective partnership where members spend hours of their own time-fighting crime through patrols, assisting with operations, hosting events and assisting with crime prevention activities through partnerships to address crime,” Sinoville police spokesperson Warrant Officer Johan van Dyk said.

This was the second award the Sinoville CPF walked away with this year.

During the Tshwane district excellence awards for 2018/2019, at the old police Rondavel in September, the Sinoville CPF walked away with its first policing forum of the year award of the year.

“The Sinoville CPF was established in accordance with the national crime-fighting strategy to involve the community to play an active role in combating crime, and through the years established itself as a serious partner in this regard.”

Sinoville police station commander Colonel Maria Roberts congratulated and thanked all her officers for their loyal support.
