Various police task teams, local CPF, Tshwane Emergency Services and the Sinoville fire brigade rushed to the scène of the fire.
Warrant officer, Johan van Dyk, spokesperson for the Sinoville police confirmed that a fire broke out at the dealership on 16 October.
“The fire broke out shortly after the power went off due to load shedding,” Van Dyk said.
It is believed a spark from the generator ignited the flame which spread through the dealership damaging several cars and an office.

Van Dyk says the total damage would only be clear once the fire has been extinguished.
Emergency workers are currently still on the scène.
Charles Mabaso, spokesperson for Tshwane Emergency Services confirmed the service was called out to the fire around 10.24 this morning.
“Firefighters arrived on scene to find a house of about 150 square meters, which is used as an office, equipment storage and workshop fully engulfed by fire. A car that was inside the workshop and a second old car that was outside also burned down. An unconfirmed number of canopies were also burned down,” Mabaso said.

Mabaso further said tyres and fiberglass materials stored at the back of the workshop caught fire emitting thick black smoke into the sky.
“Firefighting foam had to be applied to suppress …the fire. Firefighters managed save other cars on sale in the premises from fire destruction.”
The owner could not quantify the damage caused nor give the suspected cause of the fire.
