New wheels for TUT radio station

DSM motors handed over a car to TUT FM at the Tshwane University of Technology South Campus in Soshanguve, on Monday afternoon.

DSM motors this week presented the Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) radio station, TUT FM, with a brand new set of wheels.

This car is an agreed partnership between TUT FM and DSM motors for the duration of one year and six months.

This car will help the station in getting stories in hard-to-reach places in Soshanguve and surrounding areas.

Station manager Kedibone Mahapa said as a station they were proud to enter into a partnership with DSM motors.

“We are so proud. This means our effort to provide a community service is getting credit out there. It will help us to gather stories and enable us to provide local content as a community radio station,” said Mahapa.

Katlego Matjeding, a representative of DSM motors, said they wanted to upscale their marketing side as a brand and collaborating with TUT FM was the way to go.

“It is one of our business plans to knock on doors. We thought people from various communities listen to local radio stations and it will be the only platform to get access to the community,” Matjeding said.

George Maremo, a representative from TUT, said the institution was overjoyed to have received the car.

“We are so overwhelmed, this car came at a time when the station really needed it to go out and get information from the community,” Maremo said.

Maremo also urged potential investors to get involved in more partnerships with TUT.
