Missing East teen found

Manana Kate Matemotja (16) was last seen in Lusaka on 8 April and had since been found safe.

A 16-year-old Mamelodi girl who went missing a week ago has been found.

Manana Kate Matemotja returned home after she was last seen in Lusaka on 8 April.

Her mother Itumeleng Matemotja said she was relieved that her daughter was home safe and unharmed.

“She came back home on Sunday,” she said.

Itumeleng previously told Rekord that she hardly slept at night wondering where her daughter was.

“I am glad she is home. Thank you to everyone who helped us look for her.”

Police were unavailable for comment.
