Pretoria Covid-19 cases climb to 7 235  

Sixteen new deaths have been confirmed in the region.

The total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Pretoria stood at 7 235 with 1 707 recoveries and 37 deaths on Wednesday, according to a statement by the Department of Health on Thursday.

City of Tshwane cases breakdown:

– City of Tshwane 1: Ga-Rankuwa, Mabopane, Winterveldt, Soshanguve, Rosslyn, Karenpark, Wonderboom, Akasia, Nina Park, Orchards, Amandasig, Theresa Park, Pretoria North (1 458 cases and 337 recoveries)
– City of Tshwane 2: Hammanskraal, Temba, Suurman, Dilopye, Stinkwater, Ramotse, New Eersterus, Kameeldrift, Pyramid/Rooiwal, Doornpoort, Kekana Gardens, KekansStad, Marokolong, Randstown, Kanana (377 cases and 116 recoveries)

– City of Tshwane 3: Atteridgeville, Laudium, Pretoria CBD, Hercules, Danville, Saulsville, Lotus, Pretoria West (2 317 cases and 643 recoveries)
– City of Tshwane 4: Lyttelton, Eldoraigne, Waterkloof, Olievenhoutbosch, Rooihuiskraal, Silverton, Centurion, Brooklyn, Hatfield (1 529 cases and 276 recoveries)
– City of Tshwane 5: East Lynne, Rayton, Cullinan, Dewagensdrift, Refilwe, Silverton, Onverwacht (116 cases and 28 recoveries)
– City of Tshwane 6: Eersterust, Lethabong, Mamelodi, Silverlakes, Garsfontein, Lynnwood, Queenswood, Wilgers, Watloo, Equestria, Mooikloof, Brummeria (1 240 cases and 270 recoveries)
– City of Tshwane 7: Ekangala, Sokhulumi, Dark City, Zithobeni, Bronkhorstspruit, Kanana, Rethabiseng (119 cases and 27 recoveries)

The department reported 79 unallocated cases in the Tshwane district.
