Pedestrian struck by truck in the east
The man had to be airlifted to hospital due to the nature of his injuries.
A man was left critically injured when he was struck by a truck in Moreleta Park on Wednesday morning.
Netcare 911 spokesperson Shawn Herbst said this happened around 08:51 on Rubenstein Drive.
“Reports from the scene indicate that an adult male had been struck down by a truck. Medics assessed the patient and found that he had sustained serious traumatic injuries and required the attention of an emergency care practitioner to stabilise him,” he said.
Herbst said the man had to be airlifted to hospital due to the nature of his injuries.
