New principal for Moot high school
Antoinette Dowd was the first female principal in the history of HTS John Vorster.
A new principal has taken over at a technical high school in the Moot.
Antoinette Dowd is the first female principal in the history of HTS John Vorster, said Nicollette Vermaak of the marketing team of the school.
“She is truly a lady of stature,” she said.
According to Vermaak, Dowd has been a part of the John Vorster team for the past 27 years.
“She is someone who has John Vorster blood flowing through her veins and she has firm beliefs in her Creator,” Vermaak said.
“Therefore, we know that she will be an excellent principal.
“May HTS John Vorster go from strength-to-strength and, under her guidance, reach new exciting heights!”
Dowd was announced as the new principal in May, and started in her position when schools reopened in June.
