Gauteng Covid-19 cases climb to 185 282
129 375 recoveries and 2 313 deaths were recorded in the province on Wednesday.

The total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Gauteng stood at 185 282 with 129 375 recoveries and 2 313 deaths on Wednesday.
The department of health said on Friday, out of 88 236 contacts traced (individuals who were in contact with a person who tested positive for Covid-19), 67 130 people have completed the 10 days monitoring period, with no symptoms reported and they were de-isolated.

The department said 4 626 people were currently hospitalised in public and private facilities.

– Johannesburg: 75 654 cases and 58 539 recoveries
– Ekurhuleni: 41 393 cases and 35 374 recoveries
– Tshwane: 38 023 cases and 20 346 recoveries
– Sedibeng: 12 210 cases and 5 844 recoveries
– West Rand: 12 028 cases and 9 272 recoveries
