Get ready to boogie in aid of non-profit organisations
"All Centurion residents, young and old are invited to join us on the day to celebrate our rainbow nation."
Dust of those dancing shoes and join the #jerusalemachallenge in aid of Centurion Hospice, Thaba Tshwane Dogs and Angels Among Us, this Saturday.
Mastermind behind the challenge and admin of People who live in Centurion (PWLIC), Michelle van Zyl said that Saturday is to take up the challenge in memory of everyone who has lost their lives to Covid-19 and senseless crime spree spreading through the country.
“All Centurion residents, young and old are invited to join us on the day to celebrate our rainbow nation,” said Van Zyl.
She added that PWLIC has always been very fond of the three non-profit organisations due to the amazing work they do in our community.

“They have also over the years have been recipients of our PWLIC of the year award,” she added.
Annette Reed, general manager of Centurion Hospice said that in the light of World Hospice Day on 10 October, this month in a week’s time Centurion Hospice is playing their role in braving the awareness of palliative care.
“It is also to show what a hospice can mean to people in the time of their greatest need.
We are joining the rest of the world to raise awareness about the wonderful service and opportunity available to people who cannot afford medical care,” said Reed.

Founder of Angels Among Us, Sanmarie Lamprecht said that Saturday’s event just once again goes to show that a community can stand together.
“The stigma of ‘everyone for themselves’ is no longer part of South Africans. We assist families in our direct areas, a neighbour, a school, a friend and any of the community members in our areas,” said Lamprecht.
Since the start of lockdown, they have been feeding 245 families.
“By donating anything from food to clothing, vouchers for meat and petrol will be most welcome,” she said.
The event will take place at Centurion Hospice on the corner of Clifton Avenue and North Street in Lyttelton Manor, Centurion.
Sign-in will start at 08:00 and the challenge will start at 09:30.
Dress code is something casual and comfortable, and remember to wear a shirt in any of the colours found on the South African flag – black, yellow, green, white, red or blue.
