Tshwane north police bust 124 suspects.

Suspects were wanted for various charges such as attempted murder, rape, possession of suspected stolen property.

Police in the north of Tshwane arrested 124 people during weekend crime prevention operations.

Captains Matthews Nkoadi said the arrests were as a result of “high-density operations” that included random roadblocks as well as raids on suspects and illegal shebeens.

Suspects were arrested for various crimes, including attempted murder, rape, possession of suspected stolen property, selling of liquor without a licence, drunken driving and contravention of protection orders among others.

Nkoadi said all the arrested suspects will appear in the Ga-Rankuwa, Moretele, Soshanguve and Pretoria North magistrate’s courts soon.
