One dies, two injured in Pretoria east accident
"The driver sustained injuries to the head and chest and was declared dead on the scene."
One person died and two others sustained moderate injuries in a car accident in the east of Pretoria on Saturday morning.
Volunteer Emergency Medical Response Unit (Vermu) spokesperson Casper Visser said the accident happened just before 01:00, near the Danie Joubert freeway in Waterkloof, Pretoria.
”We were called to a serious vehicle accident after a vehicle lost control and ended up hitting a tree next to the road.
“The driver sustained injuries to the head and chest and was declared dead on the scene.
“Two other people sustained moderate injuries and were transported to a nearby hospital .’’
Police were on scene to investigate the exact cause of the accident.
