Rietgat police arrest 28 for various crimes

”All arrested suspects will soon appear in the Soshanguve magistrate’s court.

Rietgat police arrested 28 suspects over the weekend for various crimes.

Captain Stephen Maluleka said among the suspects, some were arrested for committing offences such as but not limited to; armed robbery, common assault, assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm, possession of drugs, theft out of motor vehicle, driving without driver’s licence, business robbery, theft, contravention of protection order, pointing of a firearm and burglary at residential premises.

Maluleka said Rietgat police station commander Stephina Nkosi, lauded the men and women in blue for putting extra efforts and extra hours in ensuring that wanted suspects are apprehended and charged.

The station commander also commends the whistle blowers for a sterling work. All arrested suspects will soon appear in the Soshanguve magistrate’s court.
