Man busted with drugs at upmarket East complex

A 41-year-old man appeared in the Hatfield magistrate’s court on Friday after he was arrested for dealing in drugs at a complex in Menlyn.

According to Hawks spokesperson Captain Ndivhuwo Mulamu the Serious Organised Crime Investigation in Germiston conducted a search and seizure operation on Thursday, in the area and had received information on the man.

“The investigation team followed on intelligence about a man selling drugs at a residential complex in Menlyn, east of Pretoria,” said Mulamu.

“Upon searching the suspect’s residence, the members seized approximately 100g of crystal meth, 100g of methcathinone, 25g of cocaine and ecstasy tablets.”

The man was immediately taken into custody and charged for dealing in drugs.
