Laudium man nabbed for murder
On police arrival, the victim's body was found with stabbed wounds in the upper body.

A Laudium man arrested for a weekend murder has appeared in the Atteridgeville magistrate’s court.
The matter was postponed to next week Monday.
Laudium police spokesperson Sergeant Simon Chokoe said the murder happened in the early hours Saturday, at Itireleng informal settlement where the victim was stabbed to death.
“Police received information about a man lying in the street. On arrival, the victim’s body was found with stab wounds in the upper body,” Chokoe said, adding the victim was declared dead on the scene.
Police investigation led to a 28-year-old man later that day, who was arrested at Itireleng informal settlement, Chokoe said.
“A second suspect handed himself over to the Louis Trichardt police station in Limpopo this week, and is expected to be transferred to the Atteridgeville police station,” he said.
Laudium acting station commander Captain Solomon Monyamane applauded the community for their continuous partnership with the police in fighting crime.
He also gave credit to the intelligence-driven investigation which led to the arrest of the suspect.
The motive behind the killing was currently unknown and both suspects were due to appear in the Atteridgeville magistrate’s court on Monday.
