Local ‘sniper’ extends United stay
The Bafana Bafana striker recently won the golden boot in the inaugural 2019/20 DStv Premiership, topping the scoring chats with 16 goals.

SuperSport United and Bafana Bafana forward Bradley Grobler has signed a two-year extension, the club confirmed.
The 33-year-old striker recently won the golden boot in the inaugural 2019/20 DStv Premiership, topping the scoring chats with 16 goals.
The new contract will see his stay at the club until 2023.
Grobler has achieved a lot since joining United back in 2013 and also set new records at the club including the Lesley Manyathela Golden Boot Award recently.
Also, he helped Matsatsantsa after winning cup competitions with different coaches at the club including his current mentor Kaitano Tembo.
“I’m very happy to say that we have entered into a new two-year agreement with Bradley. As our all-time leading goal scorer and current PSL Golden Boot Award winner, he is central to our attacking aspirations next season,” said the SuperSport United CEO Stan Matthews.
Known to many football fans as “the sniper”, Grobler formed a formidable partnership with big center-forward Thami Gabuza after the latter joined Matsatsantsa from the Soweto giants Orlando Pirates.
The pair played a pivotal role for Matsatsantsa in the domestic league and also helped the technical team in guiding young recruits from the SuperSport United Development Academy.
Unfortunately, Grobler picked up an injury in the middle of the season and missed a lot of matches after a long layoff.
However, the son of the legendary Les Grobler managed to recover and was back in the fold before end of the season against all odds.
He netted a brace in the penultimate DStv Premiership clash when they hosted Maritzburg United and ultimately won the Golden Shoe Award.
“He told me that he feels he can go past 20 goals next season and if you consider the games he missed this year then he has a real chance of doing that. He certainly is at the top of his game right now and has made us very proud with his achievements,” said Matthews.
